This evening Amelia and I went to the Epikos fall kick-off block party. I had decided not to go because I have a lot to do for school tomorrow (and yet here I sit blogging...) but decided this afternoon to go. I am glad we did! It was good to see a lot of people who have been gone for the summer and are now back for the start of the school year.
After service everyone went outside and there was food, drinks, a bouncy castle for older kids etc. I really should have been at home attempting to do some homework/studying (my graduate course starts tomorrow and I have a lot to do. yes, she assigned homework via e-mail, ugh) but I wanted to see some friends. I met Sarah there, who I first met in German 101 on my first day ever at UWM. We have been friends ever since. She is actually the one who brought me to Epikos for the first time. Here we are:
I signed up for a small group for the first time tonight also. There is a group for moms so I will be going to that on Tuesday mornings. Our pastor's wife Emili is leading this group and we had the same OB and their daughter, Stella, was born 2 months and 2 days after Amelia. Amelia will have someone close to her own age to spend Tuesday mornings with! (I will bring Amelia with some weeks so she can socialize with other babies/kids but if Jason wants I will leave her with him sometimes too, for some father/daughter time.)

Hey Shelley! Thanks for enter the Buggy Buddy Giveaway for blogging about it! :)
I think it's so important for us to have some mommy time away from our babies. I'm glad that you'll be able to be involved in a small group!
Blessings!
