Vintage
At grandpa's house there is an old horse toy that I think we will all will recognize.

Catching Up
Where have I been this week?! We have been busy - that's all.
Amelia's trip to IN last weekend went well it sounds like. She got to see my side of the family - including her cousin, P.

We let Amelia out at Target for the first time Monday night and she loved it! We let her out in the toy section which we thought might be a bit dangerous but all she wanted was a giant ball. She constantly went to the ball cage when we would try and move her to other toys.

We had decided to get her a toy and since the balls were obviously her favorite that is what she got!

All I can say is, way to go Amelia! Balls are only $2!
We spent Tuesday night in St. Paul at Regions Hospital visiting Amelia's Nana. She had a minor heart attack over the weekend and had to stay overnight at Regions after seeing her doctor. She is ok! Amelia had a ball at the hospital so I don't think she minded spending 2 days there ;)

Nana was released Wednesday and we all went to dinner since she hadn't really eaten much in the preivous 48 hours. Amelia had to leave the building at one point...
.JPG)
She just has so much energy lately and has a hard time sitting still when we would like her to!
.JPG)
Yesterday Jason and I went to Once Upon a Child to look for some more PJs for this winter and we found some...along with a few other things!

A couple of these things were brand new!
Last night Jason and I made dinner for my parents at their house. We had steak kabobs and they were delicious!

Tonight Amelia and I hung out with my parents. We dropped off our #5 plastics at the co-op in Stillwater and they had a cart just Amelia's size!

Friday Fails - Mold
I have had so many fails the past few weeks! Some I have forgotten about and others aren't that interesting. One "fail" that I think is somewhat interesting is this one:
.JPG)
.JPG)
Yep, that is what it looks like! We went to our storage unit to get a few things and I discovered my old work shoes completely molded. The shoes were covered in popcorn oil and soda syrup so we figured that was why they molded in the humidity of the storage unit. (Next we discovered Jason's golf bag was molded, so we knew that wasn't it!)
This isn't a true fail on my part but I figured this was a good place to share about it since we did kind of fail...we failed to put anything in the unit to absorb all the moisture! We went today and put a bucket of DampRid in there so that should hopefully help out the rest of this muggy MN summer!
We've had plenty more fails the past couple of weeks like consistently forgetting to bring lists to stores so we get things we don't even need and get things we didn't need on a whim, we didn't bring the mail in for at least 4 days last week and many more!

Friday Night Fun
Last night I drove down to St. Peter, MN (near Mankato) to meet a friend who I met in Milwaukee for dinner! She recently moved to MN for graduate school and it is nice having her just a couple of hours away!
.JPG)
We had dinner at a pizza place and finished an entire pizza and an entire order of monkey bread. It was a ton of food!
We walked around downtown St. Peter afterwards and windo shopped. There was this little Swedish shop that had some really cool glass in the window that we both loved!
.JPG)
Sarah goes to school at UM - Mankato...where the Vikings have their pre-season training. There is crazy security in the building she lives in because the players are staying there too! I took a picture of her parking pass to show Jason because I thought he would think it was cool (and he did).

It was really nice to get to visit with Sarah without Amelia there taking away 80% of my concentration! We had some really good conversation and it was peaceful. Imagine that! I can't ;) I really can't since we just heard from my parents who went to dinner with Amelia and my mom's parents and Amelia has been being so loud that people are requesting to not sit on the same side of the restaurant as them. I think she is mostly happy and not mad. She is just that loud. She is seriously the loudest baby that I have ever met. She has always been that way!

A Fun Evening Outside
This evening we enjoyed some time outside since the humidity was only 50%! It felt so nice out! Jason's friend Nick and his family came over and we grilled dinner and they all swam in the pool while Amelia and I explored the yard!
.JPG)
Jason and Nick took turns jumping into the pool and making "tidal waves" for Nick's sons to play in.

They even teamed up and jumped together:
While we were all watching the pool show Amelia made her way to the patio and I found her digging in Nick's cheese popcorn!

That girl does love her food...especially popcorn!
Amelia is going to be leaving us for the weekend :( My parents are taking her with them to Indiana for the weekend. We are going to miss our little squirt!!! It is all working out great though. We had some work scheduling conflicts that are now resolved since we don't have a squirt to care for!

Twins Win
Last night Jason and I went to our first Twins game at Target Field!

My parents were given four tickets and they took us with them since Jason is the only actual Twins fan in the family!
We had great seats. This was our view:

It was a little sticky out for us all but it was still a good time and luckily we were in the shade the whole game!

While the Twins were winning, they Brewers were not doing so well...

(It got worse than this even...)
After the game we went to Izzy's for some ice cream!

There were so many flavors I wanted that I had to go with a "Dizzy Izzy" so I could get them all!
By the time we got home we were beyond ready for bed and since Amelia slept at my parent's house we were able to go home and crash!

Tractor and a New Chair
Amelia still loves to sit on the lawn mower. When she sees it she runs to it and basically hugs it.

My parents got Amelia her very own little chair for at their house! It is a folding camping chair that is a purple hippo. Amelia loves it and just sits in it looking around.

This week has been soooo long because I worked Sun-Fri and getting up at 3 AM for six days in a row can really wear a person down! I have the weekend off and tomorrow Jason and I are going to see a Twins game (with my parents) for the first time in the new stadium. I know Jason is pretty excited!

Quarter of a Century
Today was my 25th birthday. I am now a quarter of a century old! I worked bright and early this morning at 4 so it has been a long day for sure!
I had lunch at Shanghai Bistro with Jason, Liz, Marie and Jordan since I had a free entree coupon for my birthday. Liz works there and signed me up! The coupon is good for up to $20 and our server told us to not waste the free money on a $4 lunch and he ordered us a huge appetizer platter!

What a great idea he had! There was so much food on here and it was all so good! We also had a cake there because Marie was nice enough to make one for us all to enjoy!
We spent the afternoon at grandpa's house and this evening Amelia and I went to dinner at Boca Chica with my family. It was tasty, as usual. After that we went for ice cream at Izzy's where they have Amelia-sized cones! Kim also made a Milky Way cake for us.

My family had some nice things for me including a GPS since I get lost so easily and some new jammies!

Amelia was more interested in the wrapping materials and her Mardi Gras beads than anything :)

I think we all had a pretty good night and I am now officially another year older.
